At ecoRidge Hideaway

Things to do on your doorstep

Enjoy space and serenity on 50 acres of native bushland.

Contemplate

With a north-east aspect, the chalets are front seat to memorable sunrises and the ever-changing light through the day makes the hilly scenery a great subject of contemplation. When the night comes, the show continues with the stars in the sky - away from the distraction of city lights.

Listen to the sounds of nature

Birds are abundant and give joyful morning concerts, cicadas sing in chorus at dusk in the Summer months. Koalas sometimes growl. And some strange animal calls might break the silence in the night.

Bird watch

Binoculars and Bird book provided in each chalet. ecoRidge Hideaway is listed as a hotspot on e-Bird worldwide data collection with a record of 60 species spotted there.

Bush walk

3km Nature trail on property with resting points, picnic area and valley views to Table Top Mountain and Mount Davidson.

For the more adventurous, hike up to Mount Campbell , the highest peak in the area at 720 m, and experience panoramic views over the Lockyer Valley farmland and the tableland of Toowoomba and surrounds.

Or explore historical Gormans’ Gap track , the first wagons' passage open up the escarpment in 1840.
